Our Sacred Sojourn
Welcome. At Our Sacred Sojourn, we believe in the profound interconnectedness of all beings. As one energy body, our individual journeys and acts of healing ripple outwards, touching the lives around us in ways both seen and unseen. We honor the sacredness of this life, recognizing it as a precious and temporary sojourn.
This name is our guiding light:
Our: A reminder that we are never truly alone; we experience the ebb and flow of life together.
Sacred: An acknowledgment that every moment is holy, worthy of reverence, and filled with inherent divinity.
Sojourn: The understanding that our time here is a temporary stay; a brief, beautiful visit that deserves to be lived with intention.
It is with this deep respect for life's journey that Our Sacred Sojourn offers compassionate and intuitive support through personalized healing experiences.
My approach is rooted in the understanding that each individual's journey is unique and deserves to be met with empathy, respect, and personalized care. Whether you are seeking energetic rebalancing or compassionate support during life's transitions, Our Sacred Sojourn is here to accompany you on your path.

My path to offering intuitive energy work and end-of-life doula services has been a deeply transformative journey, one that bridges the seemingly different worlds of scientific understanding and holistic well-being. With a foundation built upon a degree in chemistry, I dedicated many years to the pharmaceutical industry. This experience provided me with a valuable understanding of the scientific process and the role modern medicine plays in healthcare.
However, my personal experience with severe symptoms, later understood as Lyme disease, led me to explore avenues of healing beyond conventional medicine. It was during this time that I was introduced to Reiki. Initially skeptical, my analytical mind sought tangible proof. Yet, my first Reiki session delivered a profound and undeniable experience, so much so that I signed up for training before the day was over. While navigating chronic pain, Reiki became a significant source of support and the catalyst for a comprehensive exploration of holistic healing modalities. Following my diagnosis, four years after the first symptoms, a holistic regimen became a vital part of my healing journey. Since, I have continued to integrate various techniques into my self-care practice and find a consistent ally in Nature's healing rhythms and embrace. I've come to understand that healing is a winding path, not a final destination. It's a continuous, messy dance with sacred dark and radiant light, which provides far more questions than answers.
My exploration into end-of-life doula work arose not from an intentional decision, but from a deep inner knowing, a resonant calling to support individuals during their final season. My own contemplation of death, dying, and afterlife, coupled with the experience of witnessing the aging and death of nine great-great, great, and grand-parents, fostered a deep respect for this sacred part of life. A childhood curiosity about the subject may have foreshadowed this path, as evidenced by a book titled "Death" I acquired in high school. Volunteering with hospice further solidified this passion, revealing the need for compassionate presence and holistic support during end-of-life.
My unique journey, encompassing a scientific background, a personal and transformative healing experience, and a heartfelt calling, informs my approach to both energy work and end-of-life doula services. I believe that various approaches to well-being are necessary, and I am dedicated to offering intuitive, empathetic, and personalized support that honors your individual journey through all of life's transitions.
I believe that every soul I meet is a teacher, and I remain a lifelong student of the human experience. I want to offer a special note of gratitude to those who shared their knowledge and wisdom and helped me master the modalities I practice today. My deepest thanks go to Jessica Gammell-Bennett, Cathy Grossbauer, Naghmeh Taefi, Jayson and Leslie Suttkus, Sharon Sananda Kumara, Dr. Lourdes Gray, Kelley Harrell, Suzanne O'Brien, and Rev. Daniel Chesbro.
My work is grounded in a diverse range of professional certifications. I am a Master Teacher of Usui, Celtic, and Ascension Reiki and Archangelic Light, and a Doulagivers certified End-of-Life Doula, Care Consultant, and Elder Care Doula. My support is further deepened by my roles as a trained psychopomp and ordained priest.
